Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trinity Christian can now relate to. They were beaten by the Alleluia Community Angels 87-33 on Saturday. Trinity Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Alleluia Community apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Alley McBride, who posted 29 points for Alleluia Community. The contest was McBride's 13th in a row with at least 15 points. Reese Janik was another key player, putting up 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity Christian and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Alleluia Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alleluia Community, they will take on Oakwood Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Alleluia Community's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
