O'Connor comes up short despite Casey Chavez's strong performance

Recap: O'Connor Panthers vs. Stevens Falcons
The O'Connor Panthers fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Stevens Falcons on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 80-77. O'Connor has not had much luck with Stevens recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why O'Connor lost, one person who can't be blamed is Casey Chavez. Despite the final result, she scored 30 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Chavez has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Averie Corbett, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
O'Connor's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Stevens, their victory bumped their record up to 11-19.
O'Connor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stevens also has no future games currently scheduled.
