After a string of eight wins, Notre Dame Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pulaski Red Raiders by a score of 4-2. The matchup marked the Tritons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Drew Magnuson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Notre Dame Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Collins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Notre Dame Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Pulaski, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Academy will challenge Manitowoc Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders are facing the Bluejays at the right time seeing as the Bluejays are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
