Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Boston College High

Boston College High lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Catholic Memorial, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Eagles put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 14-3 victory on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Matt Reardon looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Wyatt Miller was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Max Bohane was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Boston College High was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .594. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Boston College High's record now sits at 9-5. As for Catholic Memorial, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boston College High will host Central Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Catholic Memorial, they will welcome Malden Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
