Volleyball Game Preview: Holy Name Green Wave vs. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions

The Holy Name Green Wave will challenge the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Holy Name needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Hayden Wells. The Green Wave blew past Beaumont School 3-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Wells, who had 19 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While Holy Name won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holy Name to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cindy Viera, who had ten digs.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin made easy work of Walsh Jesuit on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Holy Name's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
