Softball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clinton's offense. They came up short against the Maquoketa Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 19-0. The River Kings have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Clinton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Maquoketa, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Clinton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Bettendorf on the 29th. As for Maquoketa, they have also already played their next game, an 11-3 defeat against Anamosa on the 29th.
