Softball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral extended their losing streak to 13 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-13 in the process. They lost 22-9 to the Eldorado Firehawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Firehawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-18 back in March.

As for Eldorado, their win bumped their record up to 5-16. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

For Eldorado's part, Alma De Dios was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Gallegos, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

As of now, neither Chaparral nor Eldorado have any future games scheduled.
