Recap: Yukon Millers vs. Westmoore Jaguars

While the Yukon Millers couldn't quite beat the Westmoore Jaguars on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 22-point defeat they were dealt last Tuesday. Yukon fell just short of Westmoore by a score of 63-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Westmoore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dee Frost, who scored 23 points along with five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Frost has scored at least a third of Westmoore's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyiah Prestridge, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Yukon and nudges their season record down to 12-6. As for Westmoore, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Northwest Classen the next time they take the court. Westmoore will head out to face Northwest Classen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Yukon will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
