Recap: Trinity Bulldogs vs. Central Davidson Spartans

The Trinity Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-63 to Central Davidson. Trinity was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Davidson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Dominic Payne, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 10 rebounds. Payne scored a full 47.6% of Trinity's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Grayson Earls, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Central Davidson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jordan-Matthews at 7:30 p.m. on November 29th. As for Central Davidson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
