Softball Recap: Knappa's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Knappa had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They blew past the Lowell Devils 13-3. That's two games straight that the Loggers have won by exactly ten runs.

Georgia Sutton tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Taylor Pass was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubry Rusinovich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Knappa lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Knappa's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lowell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Knappa nor Lowell have any future games scheduled.
