Deer Park and West Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Stags will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.1 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Deer Park made easy work of East Valley and carried off an 18-2 win. The Stags might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.
Mady Ellingson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Ellingson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Deer Park let Kapri Bailey and Sammy Fausti run wild. Bailey went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run, while Fausti went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those five hits gave Fausti a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Lathrop, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Deer Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, West Valley came up short against Pullman on Saturday, falling 15-7. The Eagles have struggled against the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Deer Park's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for West Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Everything went Deer Park's way against West Valley in their previous meeting back in March, as Deer Park made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Stags have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
