Basketball Recap: Hunt Takes a Loss

After soaring to 59 points the game before, Hunt was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a blow against the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons, falling 53-23. The Warriors have struggled against the Golden Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Hunt saw an underclassman step up: freshman Juliana Jones posted ten points.

C.B. Aycock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooklyn Morris led the charge by putting up ten points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Morris a new career-high in field goal percentage (80%). Audrey Teasley was another key player, scoring 12 points.

Hunt's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for C.B. Aycock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Hunt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-48 defeat against Fike on the 14th. As for C.B. Aycock, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-19 win against Southern Wayne on the 14th.
