Baseball Recap: Royal Highlanders vs. Ontario Christian Knights        
        
		
            
 On Thursday, the Royal Highlanders were able to grind out a solid  victory over the Ontario Christian Knights, taking the game  6-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Royal.
  Isaiah Tillman was a major factor no matter where he played. He  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). Tillman was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Dean Barkman looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned run off   two  hits.
 Tillman wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Caden Sramek, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 On Ontario Christian's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  LOGAN ESCOTO, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Ontario Christian  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 11  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Royal has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season. As for Ontario Christian, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Royal is on the road again  on Wednesday to play Oak Park at 3:30  p.m. The last three games Oak Park has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Ontario Christian, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Paraclete at 10:30  a.m. Paraclete's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so Ontario Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
