Soccer Game Preview: Pine Tree vs. Center

The Pine Tree Pirates will head out to square off against the Center Roughriders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Tree will be strutting in after a win while Center will be coming in after a defeat.

Pine Tree is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Tatum with a sharp 11-0 victory on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Center was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Henderson.

Pine Tree is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five contests. As for Center, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Everything went Pine Tree's way against Center in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as Pine Tree made off with a 7-0 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Roughriders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
