Recap: Jones County Greyhounds vs. Warner Robins Demons
It was a good run, but The Jones County Greyhounds unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 43-28 fall against Warner Robins. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jones County in their matchups with Warner Robins: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Jones County had strong showings from Devin Edmonds, who threw for 345 yards and three touchdowns, and Zion Ragins, who picked up 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ragins' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Warner Robins, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones County will take on Union Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Jones County is ranked 93rd). As for Warner Robins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Locust Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Locust Grove comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
