Volleyball Recap: Brunswick Blue Devils vs. Hudson Explorers
Brunswick and Hudson squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Brunswick had to settle for second. They came up short against the Explorers, falling 3-0. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Explorers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-12.
Hudson found their leader in sophomore Jackson Battaglia, who had seven digs, three aces, and one block. Battaglia is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.
Brunswick has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. As for Hudson, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hudson, they will challenge St. Edward at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Explorers surely won't give up without a fight.
