Hope Christian faced Albuquerque Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Huskies came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12, 25-21.

Hope Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Albuquerque Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
