Crete is 1-9 against Seward since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Bluejays. Crete is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Crete will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Madison on Tuesday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 5-1 victory.

Crete hit Madison with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kacey Dunaway (2), Diana Tercero, Kimberli Magana, and Damaris Tercero.

Meanwhile, Seward came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Seward's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Seward pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Crete, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
