Football Recap: Plano East Panthers vs. North Forney Falcons

Plano East extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They had to suffer through a 55-10 loss at the hands of the North Forney Falcons. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Plano East saw an underclassman step up: freshman Treyce Seldon rushed for 103 yards and one score.

As for North Forney, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Plano East is ranked 272nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Forney was led to victory by Legend Bey and Cordai Woodard. Bey rushed for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, while Woodard rushed for 207 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. Those 207 rushing yards gave Woodard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andikan Asuquo, who rushed for 102 yards and one score on only five carries.

Looking ahead, Plano East will face off against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Plano East their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for North Forney, they will challenge Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
