Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers vs. Elizabethtown Bears
The Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers won the last time they faced the Elizabethtown Bears, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lampeter-Strasburg walked away with a 42-32 win over Elizabethtown. Given Lampeter-Strasburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Elizabethtown is ranked 532nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Justin Glick, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Chase Smucker, who scored seven points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lampeter-Strasburg and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Elizabethtown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lampeter-Strasburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eastern Lebanon County at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Eastern Lebanon County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Elizabethtown, they will head out on the road to face off against Manheim Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
