Soccer Recap: Churchland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Manor on Tuesday, Churchland came back down to earth. The Truckers lost 5-0 to the Nansemond River Warriors on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Churchland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Nansemond River are ranked 42nd).

Churchland's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Nansemond River, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Churchland nor Nansemond River have any future games scheduled.
