Basketball Recap: Worland Takes a Loss

Worland came into this matchup off a tough 31-point defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Riverton Wolverines by a score of 52-49 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost four in a row.

Riverton was led to victory by Garrett Jackson and Beau Anderson. Jackson dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Anderson posted 12 points and six boards. Jackson has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 60% every time he's hit the court this season. Gage Treber was another key player, putting up seven points.

Worland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Riverton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Worland will take on Evanston in a holiday battle at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday. Riverton and Mountain View will compete for holiday cheer at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.
