Football Recap: Evan Crane Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win + How To Watch

Hillman's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 46-34 win over the Atlanta Huskies. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 68-30 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Hillman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Crane, who picked up 220 receiving yards and four scores, and also rushed for 51 yards on only five carries. With that strong performance, Crane is now averaging an impressive 104.7 receiving yards per game. Another passer making a difference was Xavier Nichols, who threw for 248 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes.

When it comes to explaining why Atlanta lost, don't look at Brett Culham. Despite the final result, he rushed for 374 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Culham didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made 20 total tackles.

Hillman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.7 points over those games. As for Atlanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
