Parker is 6-1 against Woodlawn since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Thundering Herd will welcome the Colonels at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Parker came up short against Homewood and fell 35-28.

Despite their defeat, Parker saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Isaiah Miles, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacoby Quates Jr, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one TD.

Parker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Johnny Moody. Another thorn in Homewood's side was Nedarius Davis, who picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodlawn). They had just enough and edged out Gardendale 40-37.

Woodlawn's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6. As for Parker, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Parker against Woodlawn in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-0 win. Will the Thundering Herd repeat their success, or do the Colonels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
