Loachapoka extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 4 this week by beating Verbena, 46-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Wadley made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,380 from 12,898. The improvement came about via a 32-24 victory over Talladega County Central last week.
Notasulga's Alexander Woodard and Aurick Cloud have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Woodard has thrown for 205 yards this season, while Cloud has 10 catches for 177 yards. Fayetteville's Dustin Ingram leads the league in rushing yards with 445.
