While Centennial's victory against Clovis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 1-0. Centennial haven't had any issues with Clovis recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Centennial's one-goal win came courtesy of Zia Flores, who's now up to seven this season.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Clovis, they dropped their record down to 2-10-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Centennial and Clovis will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hawks will challenge rival Alamogordo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clovis is set to take on their familiar foe Carlsbad at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th.
