Basketball Game Preview: New Faith Christian Academy Titans vs. Wilson Academy

The New Faith Christian Academy Titans will take on Wilson Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Faith Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Wilson Academy likes a good challenge.

On Friday, New Faith Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Salem, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win.

New Faith Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashtain Preston, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 20 points and three steals. Preston's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Render, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Wilson Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They snuck past the Eagles with a 46-42 victory.

New Faith Christian Academy's record now sits at 9-6. As for Wilson Academy, their record is now 3-1.

New Faith Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Wilson Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2022 and fell 62-59. Can New Faith Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
