The Bristol Warriors will head out to  face off against Plumstead Christian  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bristol is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5  runs per game  this season.
While Bristol's  victory against Collegium Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  win over the Cougar  on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Warriors have posted  since March 19th.

 Eddy Diaz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out 11 batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Those  11  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Cole Guy was  incredible,  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances with six  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. He has become a key player for Bristol: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 1-4 otherwise.  Brady Slate was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Bristol  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Collegium Charter only posted  an  OBP of  .343.
Meanwhile, Plumstead Christian owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. Everything went their way against Calvary Christian Academy as they made off with  a  6-0 win. Considering Plumstead Christian has won six matches by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
Like Bristol, Plumstead Christian also got a great game from a two-way player:  Declan Glass. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 16 over eight innings pitched. Glass has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Santi Torres, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.  Asher Franklin also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen bases of the season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Plumstead Christian and  bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0  runs in those games. As for Bristol, their record is now 9-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bristol has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.2  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Plumstead Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 9.3  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Bristol took their  victory against Plumstead Christian  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
