Hughes won against Perry County last Friday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Hughes Lions secured a 55-50 W over the Perry County Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colton Pevahouse, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 17 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Landon Warren, who went 7-for-13 en route to 17 points and five rebounds.

Hughes' victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Perry County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Hughes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 85-68 loss against Wayne County on the 22nd. As for Perry County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-47 win against Collinwood on the 22nd.
