Soccer Recap: Maeser Prep Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Union

Maeser Prep Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Union Cougars who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Union Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to the Maeser Prep Academy Lions' one. Maeser Prep Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Union apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Maeser Prep Academy will square off against West Jordan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union, they will challenge Juan Diego Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
