Roosevelt had won five straight home games and Obie E Esparza did his part to make it six on Friday. The Roosevelt Teddies enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over Avail Academy thanks in part to E Esparza, who went 10-for-14 to rack up 23 points and six boards. The game was his sixth in a row with at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Wind, who posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (80%).

Roosevelt has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for Avail Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.

Coming up, Roosevelt won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Humboldt at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Avail Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Rush City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
