Baseball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Starts Season with Win Against Rancho Christian

Arrowhead Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They never let Rancho Christian onto the board and left with a 9-0 win. Arrowhead Christian hasn't had any issues with Rancho Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Bobby Mahoney tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Diesel Toth, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Arlington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rancho Christian, they will square off against Pacifica Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
