Lithonia hadn't done well against St. Pius X Catholic recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. One reason for the win was Lithonia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jamonei Edwards and Za'Quan Jackson, who racked up four sacks between them. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Lithonia got some further help from Josias Dore: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory made it two in a row for Lithonia and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 10 points in those games. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
