Baseball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Orestimba Warriors

Ripon is a perfect 3-0 against Orestimba since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Neither Ripon nor Orestimba posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

While Ripon's win against Golden Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The one-run effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Weaver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Hilmar.

Ripon's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Orestimba, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Ripon was able to grind out a solid victory over Orestimba when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 7-4. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
