After losing to the Vincennes Lincoln Alices the last time they met, the Evansville Central Bears decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Evansville Central walked away with a 51-40 win over Vincennes Lincoln on Wednesday. Given Evansville Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Vincennes Lincoln is ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evansville Central is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Vincennes Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Evansville Central will head out on the road to face off against Bloomington South at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bloomington South has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 166 points over their last three games. Vincennes Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Evansville North at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Hopefully Evansville North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday.
