Football Recap: Shaler Area Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shaler Area lost against Penn Hills back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans took a blow against the Indians, falling 36-7. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Indians are ranked 104th).

This is the second loss in a row for Shaler Area and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Penn Hills, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaler Area will host Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 12.7 points per game this season, so the Titans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Penn Hills, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pine-Richland at 7:00 p.m. The Indians will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
