Flag Football Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Russell County lost against Auburn back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors took a blow against the Tigers, falling 39-7. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Russell County took the loss, they still got scores from Jazmin Dennison and Aaliyah Duplesis.

Russell County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jada Flournoy and Valah Brooks. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last four times she's played.

Russell County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Auburn, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Russell County is set to take on their familiar foe Park Crossing at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Auburn will face off against rival Prattville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 13.6, the Lions 5.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
