Baseball Game Preview: Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms vs. Pierson Whalers

For the second straight game, Bayport-Blue Point will face off against Pierson. The Phantoms will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Whalers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pierson will be up against a hot Bayport-Blue Point team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Phantoms' pitchers stepped up to hand the Whalers a 9-0 shutout on Thursday.

Bayport-Blue Point got a great performance from Brady Gelling as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Guytano Kiesel, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Colin Most was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
