5A Region I District 5 recap December 3, 2013
Ryan was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Fossil Ridge. The Raiders came in at 14 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A Region I District 5 this week, Ryan beat the Panthers 42-37. The victory was the fourth in a row for Joey Florence's team.
On the heels of Carson Proffitt and Treyvon Hughes, Hebron has had great success on offense. Proffitt leads the league in passing with 1,045 yards, while Hughes has rushed for 1,445 yards this season. Marcus's Kaden Smith leads the league in receiving yards with 475 on 29 catches.
The Raiders and Fossil Ridge played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Raiders eventually emerging with a 42-37 victory.
