South El Monte is a perfect 10-0 against Gabrielino since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. South El Monte will be playing in front of their home fans against Gabrielino at 3:30 p.m. South El Monte is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.2 runs per game this season.

South El Monte is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Arroyo just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 8-6.

South El Monte saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Loreli Castrejon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Another was Zoe Medina, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Gabrielino came up short against Mountain View on Wednesday and fell 30-26. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (19), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Gabrielino's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for South El Monte, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 12-2-1.

Everything went South El Monte's way against Gabrielino in their previous matchup back in March, as South El Monte made off with a 14-1 win. Does South El Monte have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gabrielino turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
