Basketball Recap: Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane vs. Wilcox County Patriots
The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 53-49 W over Wilcox County. That's another feather in the cap for Fitzgerald, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fitzgerald's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jason Ferguson, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Smith, who scored 11 points.
