Basketball Recap: Denver City Takes a Loss

Denver City was the 63-39 winner over Brownfield when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Denver City Mustangs took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brownfield Cubs on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denver City's record now sits at 6-16. As for Brownfield, their victory bumped their record up to 7-19.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Compass Academy the next time they take the court. Brownfield will host Compass Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Denver City will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 28th.
