Elk Rapids waltzed into their game on Monday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kingsley Stags, sneaking past 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on Monday.

Coraline Rainey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brooke Fluty was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Elk Rapids' win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-3. As for Kingsley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
