Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Roosevelt

The Centennial Huskies will face off against the Roosevelt Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Roosevelt will have to contend with a Centennial squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since December 27. Centennial fell just short of Norco by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Cougars are ranked 69th).

Meanwhile, on ThursdaySantiago kept up with Roosevelt until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Roosevelt never let Santiago onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-4. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-5 record this season.
