After a string of five wins, Ramsey's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Martinsville Bluestreaks by a score of 2-1. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bluestreaks 25-21 in the first set.

Ramsey started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Cali Hill and Kelli Cook, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Waggoner and her 12 assists. Hill was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Martinsville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-14.

Ramsey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martinsville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Brownstown/St. Elmo on the 20th.
