Basketball Recap: Walton Comes Up Short

Walton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Susquehanna Valley Sabers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Sabers are ranked 59th).

Despite the defeat, Walton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grace Walley dropped a double-double with 11 points and 18 boards. Walley is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Walton's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Susquehanna Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Walton nor Susquehanna Valley have any future games scheduled.
