Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Roosevelt won against Saugerties on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Presidents came out on top against the Rondout Valley Ganders by a score of 6-1. The Presidents haven't had any issues with the Ganders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Brendan Cohen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brice Rider, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Rondout Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Marlboro Central on the 17th. As for Rondout Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 10-1 defeat against Our Lady of Lourdes on the 18th.
