Baseball Recap: James Lick Comets vs. San Jose Bulldogs

James Lick won against Mt. Pleasant last Friday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Everything went the James Lick Comets' way against the San Jose Bulldogs as the James Lick Comets made off with an 11-1 win. Winning may never get old, but James Lick sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Enrique Mendez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Mendez was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Richard Vega was excellent, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

On San Jose's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Aguilar, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

James Lick's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for San Jose, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
