Preview: North Boone vs. Mendota
The North Boone Vikings need to shore up a defense that is allowing 65 points per contest before their contest Friday. Their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Mendota Trojans. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with seven consecutive losses for the Vikings and 14 for Mendota.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 97-36, which was the final score in North Boone's tilt against Lutheran on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the game between Mendota and Stillman Valley on Tuesday was not a total blowout, but with Mendota falling 48-35 at home, it was darn close to turning into one.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
