Fitch has gone a perfect 5-0 against Killingly recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Redmen at 4:15 p.m. Fitch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Fitch is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Cranston West, who was ranked fifth in their home state at the time (Fitch was ranked 13th). Fitch sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Cranston West on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but Fitch sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Hailey Merrill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

On the hitting side, Katie MacPherson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Jaedyn Steffens was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Killingly didn't have quite enough to beat East Lyme on Thursday and fell 5-3. The Redmen haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Fitch's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Killingly, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Fitch took their victory against Killingly in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
